Waiting is rough.
Well, we did our tax return and now we are waiting for the funds back. Blair needs at least some new shoes for work, Pooka needs a jumperoo so shw can entertain herself and jump around. After we get a few needed things we are going to get a place to live. That makes me happy. But, we need the money for all that to happen. I am seriously impatient sometimes.

Doesn't feel like the holidays
I know this is Alice's first everything... But Halloween came fast, and she was too little to plan anything or take her out trick-or-treating.
Thanksgiving was nice, but it felt rushed, I would have loved to stay the night at my parents house.
Now my roommates husband is all "Bah-Humbug" so we have no Christmas Tree and no lights on the house, no decorations or lovely winter smells wafting through the house. No, it's quiet, and it kinda smells like cats. There were still red leaves on some trees the other day when Blair and I were out driving. Just an FYI, Seattle weather, it is in fact DECEMBER. Even if there is no snow, there should be no autumn leaves.
Blair also had a job interview the day after Thanksgiving, so I couldn't go downtown Seattle and see the Macy's Parade. I just feel really un-jolly and, kind of sad.
The weather forecast keeps changing but so far the week of December 18th... We have a few chances for snow, it would be wonderful if there was a white Christmas... But honestly it doesn't feel like Christmas.

There goes my life...
Alice Mae was born October 11th 2011
10:29am - 7lbs 5oz 18 1/2 inches
She's amazing, she's prefect, she's beautiful.
I haven't been able to update my blog as she keeps me and Blair busy. She had a doctor appt this morning @ 2 weeks 3 days old, she weighed in at 8lbs 15oz... They were so happy with her, she had to have another PKU test and the nurse had to prick both her heels, poor little baby cried her eyes out. =[ Broke my heart.
I am so proud of her. She's the most amazing thing I have ever done.

5 Days Until October!
With all the contractions I am having and the dilating, it doesn't seem like I am gonna be pregnant much longer at this point. Eventho Alice isn't due until October 17th, tomorrow I am 37 weeks and she is considered "full term" I would really like to make it until at least October tho. Hospital bag is packed, we are ready for her whenever she comes!
I was labour and delivery for dehydration and my inability to keep food down last week, and at my 36 week appointment with Dr. Salerno on friday I was finally starting to dilate. Alice is head down and an estimated 6lbs 3oz ... and still a girl! Haha, not that I would be mad if she was a boy, its just that we have a lot of pink stuff. lol.
So my list of things I want done before she arrives?
* North NEEDS a bath, he looks so horrible and he has a TON of hair!
* I want to get her bassinet bedding washed again
* I want my "hospital blanket" washed [which I am about to do when I am done with laundry]
* I am waiting on a voucher from Molina for a free car seat from Cosco.
* I need a robe for the hospital.
But really, I think that's all that still needs to be done before she gets here, and it doesn't have to be done, it's just stuff I would prefer to be done.
It's hard not to wish that she was here now, I really don't want her to come tho until closer to her due date.
So here is my belly:
And here is Alice at her 36wk 3day u/s:

I love Seattle summers!
Oh yeah, sunny and 71°, it's so magical! haha
Let's see, Monday, Gail and I went to Sears and they had a Safety 1st Winnie the Pooh travel system on sale for $107! So Gail got it for Alice as her baby shower gift! I am excited now, now if she was born early, I have everything to take care of her!
Here's a stock picture of the travel system!

I like that it has nice big wheels and shocks on the front =] Also picked her up a little baby blanket with owls on it, it's really cute eventho I don't have a picture of it. I think I decided that owls are adorable and I am changing her "nursery" theme to owls. They are just too cute to pass up.
I had a OB appt yesterday, I now weigh in at 151lbs, Alice's heart rate was at 152bpm, which is coz she was active, last time her heart rate was 130, but she wasn't moving alot. Also, my OB ordered me a maternity support belt, which is awesome because I am really getting sore from supporting all this baby on my little frame! She said it should be here this week, so horraah!
My mom is coming by today to drop off some stuff for Alice, and trim up the ends of my hair, then I will probably cut on the bangs and layers myself as I am tired of my hair being all one crappy length, also, I am going to be bleaching and dying it again before the baby shower, so I don't look like the homely pregnant girl.
I also took out my black spike tip horseshoe lip lings the other day and traded them for two very normal silver ball studs for my lower lip. It looks alot different and the inside of the studs are bothering me, but, I felt I should change them for as long as it takes me to lose one of the balls, then I will be back to the black horseshoe spikes.
My Explorer got fixed too, it's back from the tranny shop and seems to be running well, I am going to have Blair mount the base of the car seat in there tight when he gets a chance. I dunno how long it will actually stay there as there are probably things we will need to pick up or transport between now and when we ACTUALLY need to have the car seat in there.
I am super excited to see the store getting their autumn things in tho, it just reminds me that I have a little over 9 weeks until Alice is here!

You exhaust me baby
I didn't realize I hadn't been on here since April. =S
So now we know the gender of the baby, she is a girl. Her name is Alice Mae.
We also had a little 3d/4d ultrasound done the same day we found out the gender so I'll add a picture of that too.
...and a big yawn!
Those pictures were done when she was 18 weeks 3 days!
---- Skipping ahead ----
I am now 28 weeks 4 days as of today, but I went from this:
to:
this at 28 weeks. I have gained 30 lbs total, 10 of those pounds in the last month alone.
At our last ultrasound on July 25th, she was measuring ahead by 1 day. She was 2lbs 9oz and looking good, we had a scare about there being a problem with Alice's heart, but the last ultrasound showed only the little leaflets that open and close the valves showing up, which may have been the bright spot they thought they saw. She was so cute tho, she was opening and closing her eyes and mouth, playing with her tongue. I really cannot wait to meet her!
So far for baby stuff, we have a TON of 0-3month old baby clothes, I mean a ton. We also bought her a very nice Eddie Bauer bassinet and painted it matte black, and got a Basset sleigh crib, it's so pretty, but since we got it on Craigslist, its missing some hardware which we need to go pick up.
So far, so complications with the pregnancy [knock on wood] and other than my back/hip/body pains I feel fine. I am anemic and I am trying hard to take the iron supplements that they gave me, but I am sure I am low on iron still.
My next appointment with my OB, Doctor Salerno, is on Tuesday August 2nd. That will the the last appointment that is I have with her that is every 4 weeks. I see her every 3 weeks for 2 appointments, then starting September 23rd, I go weekly. My appointments are usually Friday mornings at 11:45am.
My baby shower for her is going to be on August 20th @ noon at my mom's house. I am really excited to see everyone who is coming and hoping to have my maternity pictures done by then so maybe I can put out a few for people to see!

So much has happened!
Thursday, March 31st 2011 - Blair and I were married downtown Seattle, WA.
Tuesday, April 5th 2011 - NT Scan @ Via Radiology
Now we have more updated pictures of the baby + tomorrow is my OB appt @ 10am. I am hoping that tomorrow we can get an anatomy scan scheduled to find out the sex of the baby =]
______________
I have gained about a pound since my last appt, unfortunately, my morning sickness hasn't given up nor has the "evening sickness" lol
I do have a lot of energy, I just wish I always felt good enough to use it! The weather is supposed to be pretty rainy the rest of the week, but when it gets nicer out I would like to start taking the dogs for a walk, once maybe twice a day. Emilie needs some time on a leash, she LOVES walks but kinda walks between legs and goes the wrong way.. lol
But the big dogs would love a walk. As the weather also gets nicer, I am hoping maybe to get some work done with Rory as well, maybe as his pasture dries out a bit more, I can get him out there and get some lunging started with him.
______________
As far as baby stuff... I bought some little Gerber mittens today, it was a little 4 pack unisex with duckies on them ^_^
Sooo excited to find out the sex of the baby so I can start getting clothes for the gender of the baby!

Sour tummy
My tummy has been so sour the past few days, I have not only been having m/s but I have been getting sick in the evenings as well too. Some of the ladies on that are in my DDC forum, have already passed the m/s part of their pregnancy, I would be lying if I said I wasn't jealous. I would totally love to not feel yucky 3/4ths of the day.
I had Easy Mac for breakfast again because its fast and easy to make. I do plan on having a cheese or grilled cheese sandwich here in a bit after the bread from the freezer defrosts.
Yesteday, I groomed one of the aussies, Tidus, he got a bath and a blow dry, today it was Briar, another aussie. Then Blair brushed all the aussies out [North, Tidus, Briar and Fate] and he's been cleaning the house so it's been really nice since I feel like caca. I really do appreciate everything he's doing because it's making it so much easier on me. Not that I can't do anything, but it's nice that I dont have to worry about doing it. If you read this, thank you baby!
Oh! Last night we watched that Megamind movie, it was super cute and funny, I think both Blair and I liked it. I downloaded Vudu HD onto my PS3 and it's like $3.99 a rental [SD movies] and you can also buy movies on there, which is nice.
We also got the new chandelier put up in the dining room, which makes the whole room like way nicer and more up to date. Little things at a time to get this place ready to sell.
The equine vet was out a few days ago, and I didn't know I was supposed to do anything because I thought they were supposed to be calling me. It's a good thing I didnt do anything this time tho, because looking into if we move [with Blair being in the army] most the places want a coggins test within the last 30 days, I think I will just go to the feed store and get his vaccine there when I pick up his wormer, and when the vet comes down [a month before we move] he can then update his vax if they need to be, give him his coggins, and get a health cert so Rory will be good to go.
I also found a vet clinic in Mountlake Terrace who does rabies shots for $5, which is great because North, Fate, Emilie, Gyppo and Mercy are all going to need theirs.
SOOO, that being said. Today I am planning on doing laundry, since Blair is out of socks and I am down to the old stretched out Christmas underwear. Haha!
Tomorrow is 11 weeks!

Simple pleasures
Not really about the baby, but today has been a good day =]
Blair mowed the lawn, weed whacked, and is ripping out the rest of the ivy in the front flower bed - shirtless. I went out and planted a few more flowers, raked the flower beds, finished downloading the music Michael asked me to download for his sister's baby shower, downloaded a few songs I like. Emilie is being really good too, I asked her to get off the couch and without having to drag her down. PLUS I am making sun tea, because there is sun, which is really nice!
I left Rorschach's blanket off him this morning because it looked so nice this morning and tI think this is the first time in a long time I haven't had to drive back out halfway through the day to go put it back on because of inclement weather.
Also, we dropped Gail's Touareg off the at dealership to get it's lights fixed this morning, and they have this amazing little bookshelf area, where they have old used books, and it says for their customers to read or feel free to take home a book. I found Anne Rice's "Tale of the Body Thief" first edition in hardcover with dust jacket. So excited! Came home and cleaned up the dust jacket, now to add it to the rest of my Anne Rice collection. You know, REAL vampire books.
It seems that my hair is getting nicer and my skin is getting better since the beginning of the pregnancy. And Blair's cat Mercy has become all super obsessed with sitting with me in the recliner. Which is really nice, I get my little Emilie girl next to me and Mercy on my lap.
It's also nice enough to let Count Olaf outside with the dogs, which he greatly appreciates. He looks like crap tho, he's molting his sexy male plumage into his uglier off season plumage. But its ok, he's still cute as heck!
Yep, thats all I can think of right now. ^_^
